Good stuff. We are 3 seasons into what was supposed to be 1 season in the med and now wont be leaving for the atlantic till 2016 so we will be around.

If you are right then you could short the EUR USD and pay for your boat with the profit. Any reasoning on how the cross could get to that particular level or is it just "the trend is your friend"?

Yep but only half this story is Euro disaster. The other half is the rampant greenback. Thats gonna hurt the US terms of trade and potentially snuff out the recovery underway there.

Not quite right mate - the sellers of used european boats in europe will still have the same sale price in Euros - no extra discount as far as they are concerned. Its only a "discount" to USD buyers...

I tried to deal with catana direct - got redirected to the Australian and UK dealers. Wasnt "allowed" to deal with the french direct even though I was in france at the time. The problem with that is...
