Re: Cats vs Mono..why a mono
Jt I'm just basing my comments on my own observations, not to debate cats against monos. I've spent ample time on both to have my own thoughts on both. As far as upwind performance, I have no... |

Re: Cats vs Mono..why a mono
Don't believe everything you read cheoah. Upwind performance is on a par with similar monos and berthing costs are about the same if you consider you're paying /m2 or for similar accommodation size.... |

Re: Cats vs Mono..why a mono
Typically, and very roughly, our Lagoon 400 will sail at around 1/2 true windspeed in most directions, up to about 20K TWS, so depending on how far we have to sail, if we are rushed to arrive before... |

Re: Cats vs Mono..why a mono
Funny you should say that. We just spent 5 weeks in the BVIs and didn't have to motor anywhere, including 3 or 4 trips from little harbour to Simpson bay. 101663 |

Re: Cats vs Mono..why a mono
Duke, you say you're focusing in space. We've lived full time on 2 under 40' cats. A cruising couple with a dog, at anchor, marina and at sea. The space is ridiculous. I'm sitting in a cockpit that... |
