Well prior to that first attack , shark attacks were pretty much unheard of there. The "Magic miles" does mention sharks in Nara and Gulnare, but like I say, I don't think it had ever happened in... |

The above article is slightly incorrect. It was Cid Harbour, Whitsunday island, not Lindeman. A couple of shark attacks in Cid Harbour in the past week or so Friends of ours were involved... |

That's where we launched our boat! Unfortunately the sandflies can be fierce on the western side of the peninsula, and the anchorage can be difficult in big tides, especially combined with strong... |

Plenty of people swimming around the Whitsunday islands, so crocs would be spoiled for choice. |
