This was after about seven months October to May of sitting at my dock.
Paint was 3 years old.
Ultrasonic had not yet been installed.
Last two photos taken just now....

Ultrasonic systems need a clean surface to start. If fouling is present beyond thickness, the existing layer will dampen the soundwaves and other fouling can adhere to that.

4 transducer version of UltraSoniTec on a 33' tri. Knotmeter never fouls no matter how long the boat sits.
It used to foul in less than a week, almost every time.
