Have you considered an engine mount that slides up vertically, in lieu of tilting the engine? ... instead of modifying the boat?

Well, it's not likely to be a big deal if you don't tend to it. It would be nice to fix it. How easy to get at from below? I would do it that way if possible. Open it up dig out the wet core and...

Nice sailing little boats. I hope you have a good rig and sails etc. and dont need to add those to the list. You can buy those boats for $3k ready to use. Oh well, what boat havent I spent too much...
