yes but done under very controlled circumstances and some with an electrical charge also. |

I would stay away from any acid product on twisted wire. But that's just me I guess. As mentioned it could make the "repair" more corrosion prone. If this is light surface rusting you are likely... |

Get those cleaned up soon. It must be disappointing for sure. It is possibly due to not good enough cleaning (passivating?) after the individual wire is drawn down to size thru a hard steel die.... |
