Six sold in the US in last two years per soldboat.com (plus two project boats) and they went for $66K, $115K, $70K, $110K, $125K and $175K. Average was $110K which is exactly what the most recent...

I think this is the real gist of the problem. Same with real estate. If you can't unload the one you have even at a loss, you can't take advantage of the lower prices on the stepped-up model...

That's not surprising. How much would you want to loan on a 20 year old sailboat? Since the boat is the collateral the lender has got to ask himself what will be boat be worth in 1, 5 or 10 years? ...

No offense to the manufacturer but you would have to be insane to pay over $100K for Com-Pac 27. IMHO of course.

You need to find someone (most brokers) with a subscription to the commerical version of YW, which is BoatWizard. There when you pull up a boat listing it tells you when it was originally list,...

Are you sure about the standing rigging costs. I just spend over $200 on Dyna Dux to just replace my lifelines, and that was at $1.69/foot. The Dux runs about the same as wire but I'm sure you'd...
