My boat has a cockpit ice box. I never even vaguely considered using it for its intended purpose.

I use it to store harness tethers, air horn, and water fittings.

Sounds like a plan.

The tablet remote is really useful. You'll enjoy being able to keep an eye on everything from your bunk on the off watch. Or basically from anywhere. It unties you.

As I understand the term, a "babystay" is used exclusively to support the mast and is lower than an inner forestay. "Baby" because it's even lower than an inner forestay. And sails are never put on...

I reckon they can mail order the parts and retrofit it themselves. SWL and Noelex are pretty handy, and the topworks of these devices are not all that complicated.

Indeed. I prefer horizontal windlasses like the Lighthouse and Lofrans, but if I were doing a vertical one, it would be this one :thumb:

Just FYI, Simrad/B&G AC12/42 are identical except for the power relay. If it's well within rated capacity, no need to oversize.
