There have been some developments in the ocean electrical generation front where the wave movement can be harnessed, and that does not require any tide, just wave action. Which is constant. |

In the early 80s I was a proponent of tidal electrical generation for Alaska, ala Bay of Fundy, even went there to learn how they do it. It was marvelous, inexpensive etc... in the town I stayed in... |
