thanks for replies. I contacted manufacturer and they confirmed it does not need to be turned off. I don't get much output out of mine but it is producing and with solar and a high ouput alternator...

HRSi Regulator Question

I just installed a Rutland 913 with a HRSi regulator. The manual says that before turning on the engine I should always shut off the regulator. I placed the regulator in an out of the way spot so...
