50% (estimated guess) of the people who are looking at the power consumption of pulse vs continuous radar think that a 4kW pulse radar consumes 4kW of electrical power... and can't be moved from that... |

"Conventional" radar, as far as I'm concerned, *is* pulse radar :thumb: Many will argue that because of the radar subject :rolleyes:, but every Furuno, Garmin, Raymarine etc. aboard yachts is a pulse... |

The professional weather radars are all pulse Doppler radars. They use Doppler effect to discriminate between moving (weather) and static (non-weather) echo's. Frequency: S-band is best and most... |
