* inverter losses
* wire resistance
* heating to maintain pressure

Just so people understand the math.


2 quarts of liquid = 4 pounds. The reach boiling is under pressure is (220-80)x4=560 BTU, or with inefficiency and some minor continuous heating, about 1000...

Depends on the insulation. A Wonderbag will hold a big pot at over 180F for 8 hours without reheating. 3-5 hour dishes are actually faster by retained heat, since crock pots take an hour to warm up....
