Re: Bestevaer 49ST

Thanks for the update on cold weather performance and condensation. I'm very interested to hear your experiences on that now when you are sailing in cold climate, especially since I mostly sail in...

Re: Bestevaer 49ST

Re: Bestevaer 49ST

I wish more boats were designed this way. For cruising boats, large storage space is essential, and it is also cheaper to build than the furnished living areas. In my ideal boat I'd reserve large...

Re: Bestevaer 49ST

I have often used iSailor as my anchor alarm system. Key reasons why I often use this particular solution are: 1) a loud alarm noise that is guaranteed to wake me up, 2) simple user interface and...

Re: Bestevaer 49ST

My ideal boat has an extra cabin that I can use to store lots of stuff when there are no guests, and a large lazarette that I can use to accomodate some special guests, or when there is no room in...

Re: Bestevaer 49ST

If the step to the pilothouse is at the cockpit floor level, how will you stop water flowing to the pilothouse when a large wave enters the cockpit? Maybe a watertight door, or some sort of...

Re: Bestevaer 49ST

We have one hatch above the driver's seat. It's nice to check the mainsail and windex through that hatch.

Re: Bestevaer 49ST

When looking at the fuel system diagram, and not being an expert on these matters, I'm wondering how the connection from the three way valve to the engine works. If you switch the three way valve so...
