ZZm, I think you are over-thinking.... Look, IMO after forty years: Perkins 4-106, 4-108, 4-236, 6-354, Isuzu, Yanmar, John Deere Marine, Volvo, and more, 19? major yachts, as some I just fixed up...

I quite like the stock Volvo folding props....
On both the Helia and now the Saba...

I lock the sail drives in reverse when sailing..

They run good in forward and reverse. I would not change...

Yes Zz, the davits have been added on to with extra blocks, so each side has a double lifting line that terminates on the hydraulic winch head. It is remote controlled, and there are manual switches...
