I stand corrected. Halon is a CFC or ozone predator. So yes politics , environmental, but save it for the military, and passenger airliners per FAA ,not race car drivers. Its not illegal just...

Carbon tetra chloride also gives off deadly toxic fumes... killed many a firefighter.

I used carbon tet in gas tanks for gas welding but a slight wiff would put you down puking. Filling the tank...

I’m only on the first page... but here goes anyway...
Any smoke fumes in enclosed areas are toxic. Some chemical powders are no more than pressurized bicarbonate soda. Others not so much edible ....
