I've never actually heard of a boat being DQed or even protested under Rule 55. I think it is just a "feel good" addition to RROS. |

Irrelevant to the OP's question :) He just asked if it violated a Racing Rule, not whether it was ecologically harmful or otherwise illegal. The answer is: Yes it does. |

What rule: RROS: ..rule 55 applies at all time when boats are on the water. ... 55 Trash Disposal A competitor shall not intentionally put trash in the water, Penalty: DQ (Rule 64.1) |
