Chowdan, another temporary means of retaining the shaft is to put a nice new clamp-on anode on the shaft just forward of the stuffing box. Not a bad t hing to have all the time for that matter, just... |

Chowdan, don't overthink this job! With all the things removed that you mention, it shouldn't weigh all that much.. 300 lbs?? Not that hard to just man handle if necessary, not likely to bend bolts,... |
