There's a bit of a paradox here. Because the draw of pulse radars...out of guard mode...is considerably higher than the newer "digital" models, there is the tendency to use them sparingly when not...

Good point on the "forest versus the trees" aspect of active radar usage.

A radar installer told me that for offshore, I would be better with a pulse radar for range, but for coastal detail, he...
