Maybe we should drop "pulse" and "broadband", but use "magnetron" and "solid state" as defining parameters for the radar. The magnetrons are the rotating systems, in the dome, or open array.... |

Thanks for the direct comparison! Agreed: With the 2kW we were able to see the front edge of a squall, not much further. We upgraded to a 4kW (old style, pulse) and the difference to seeing... |
