I had a Pearson 30 with a volvo penta 2002. I wasn't ready to head south, so I sold it. Now I'm kicking myself. Good solid boat. No keel bolts. Fast.

I think there is plenty of space to replace...

The A4 is a good, safe engine. And gasoline is readily available. But IMHO the issue is efficiency/consumption rate.

I owned two almost identical boats (not at the same time, obviously) ...a 1972...
