and it puts some oil on the cam and lifter so you don't wipe a cam lobe. |

Good post. What is the rush anyway, the engine is worth a lot of money, and a week or so of careful prep is fully warranted. It has sit a long time till now, take it easy. If you haven't touched it... |

The point about cranking the engine with the starter (after hand cranking first and also before the new oil and filter) without the injectors is good, as you need to build up oil pressure in the... |
