As for liking Michener you should read Heyerdahl's Fatu Hiva for perspective. Michener embellished quite a lot. He interposed fiction with fact, a basis for all his novels. |

Most favored is Mutiny On The Bounty, the 1935 version with Cark Gable as Fletcher Christian and Charles Laughton as Capt Bligh. Real heavy weather sailing too. Captain Courageous comes in as 2nd. ... |
