I didn't mean the imply float. I meant that there was no real way to hold the bank at a storage voltage and supply 12v loads from shore power.

I can't argue with that logic. But we do live aboard, and do leave the dock on average weekly. Discharging to an ideal storage voltage would require some hands on time. Then isolating them and...

CCGX makes it all happen :) They make a headless unit now, the Venus.. But, for the money, the CCGX makes total sense.

In fact, its bit above the scope of this thread, but I have our CCGX running...

My REC just arrived yesterday and will be replacing my temporary BMS with it shortly.

Are you using a Victron charger? Is it connected to the BMS via CAN?

Yep, that sounds ideal. I'd assume if the BMS or other systems fail the LVD/HVD would go to ground or float. That would be perfect.

7713 sounds like the perfect fit.

The 7700 does appear to be a latching relay. Is there another series with the 7700 designation?

Spent the weekend installing and wiring up our new Lithium Bank. 16x180aH CALB cells for a total of 720aH. ~ 600aH usable.

The best part is that the cells fit into the location of the 3 factory...
