Err... maybe..... perhaps the joke is at my expense..... but I am just reading the vessel position straight off Mr Free Agent's picture of his Ray Marine Chart Plotter (unless I have stuffed that up...

The vessel position "Ves Pos". Read the latitude first (the one ending in N - for north) and then the longitude (the ending in W - for west).

That will do the trick.
