Re: Electrical Fuel from Sand?

Urine's major constituent is urea, which incorporates four hydrogen atoms per molecule - importantly, less tightly bonded than the hydrogen atoms in water molecules.

Re: Electrical Fuel from Sand?

Increase efficiency by 100%, use yellow water as your feed stock, to make brown gas.

Urin has 2 parts hydrogen, as compared to H20 with one part.

do the math.

pirate Re: Wing nut stuck on battery terminal

A nut buster will not work on Stainless Steel, just as it won't work on any copper alloys.
You will find yourself in a worse position after trying.

Re: Do you cool your solar panels to get more power?

I use a little trick I developed in 1979. Freon, and fun with thermodynamics, called a co-generator.

Re: Reverse Polarity

So you are saying that as soon as you haul the boat, you drive a ground, and connect it to the bonding system? Before for you plug into the shore power in the yard.

I'll bet not!

An RCD...

If I could only quote one death, and that was of your child or loved one would it matter?

Most RCD believers always trot out, that you need not worry about the ac/DC bond when an RCD is...

A $40.00 Kim Hotstart, and a $99.00
Horror Freight 900 watt 2 cycle and bobs your uncle.

Or a $9.99 cano either, or wd-40

Or a $2.00 rubber pad.

or a $99.00 dollar Perkins thermo-start.

Re: Reverse Polarity

Yep a 30 mA RCD must hold at 22.3 mA's and below, unlimited time, this is in a fault situation. As well as hold for 100 mS for a 30mA fault.

So the RCD does not protect against the stray current...

hypothetical, right is right, but

There is no Perfect Transformer...sorry if I mislead you.

There is no Perfect battery.

There is no Perfect generator.

There is no Perfect inverter.

Not if the fault was at the line voltage prior to the RCD.

The RCD would not know of this fault.

Re: Reverse Polarity

Well,

A battery is only so big, so at some point you must connect to a shore side charger. The Inverter assist is most likely your only advantage, when charging.

Or you have a KW hungry boat,...

Assuming, the shore power is properly earthed.

Then the boat must not be properly...
