I am sure in the US as here in australia you don't need to change citizenship to avoid taxes.. You just need to become a Non-Resident for taxation purposes.

At least with this system I can then double check with a handheld GPS and paper charts...

None of those links appears to have any info to the Islander 42 unfortunately. The Island site only refers to boats pre-1985.. This one is a 1995 model.

You can only register for GST if you are carrying on a business. To register for GST just to claim an Input Tax Credit on purchase you will be committing a fraud with the Australian Taxation...

Private sellers do not pay GST on the sale of a boat... same as u selling a car... only dealers and registered businesses have to pay GST.

GST on purchase or import is a different matter..

Hello Jim. Travelling up the Clarence River what is the bridge clearance (Pacific Hwy). Haven't been there myself and was wondering if the bridge had sufficient clearance or it opens.?
