We normally use only the sails...but it really is a very personal decision...so it probably just depends on personal tastes. We once sailed from Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa to Acapulco, 106 nm...only... |

Really depends on WHERE you are sailing and traffic. I would strongly recommend leaving the radar on full range with minimum 12 mile alarm set...we sail the mid-southern Mexican Pacific frequently... |
