Yup, finding something here in SA would be first prize and a 42' at 50k is going to narrow the choices down a lot. Our problem is that it takes about 15 Rand to buy $1.00

My appologies DDabs, I'm probably confusing myself as well. What I'm getting at is that a given 42' boat through its design, keel, displacement, draught and rigging might be fine for eg. Carribean...
