S African boat from the 70's.. first build were timber then they transitioned to full glass hulls with glass over ply decks and timber coach roof.. solid seaworthy boats.. saw one in SMX 10yrs or so back.. rugged sea boats by all accounts. Sweet lines but very basic by todays standards.

A Lello in the Southern Ocean..

Re: 34' Lello Full keel

Thanks for the info boatman, a friend of mine was asking me about them and I had to confess that I knew nothing about them. He was going to look at one that was up for sale in Durban, I think it is.

Agreed. We too noticed one hull (can't recall the size though) while in RSA. Very very classic hull lines. Hell to sail and pleasure to look at. The hull looked steel. IMHO one of best looking boats I have ever seen. CLASSIC

Ptui. Dont like that Yankee tail and swallow rudder and large boomy boom/main sail area. Need a barn door directly from a full transom transom with a tiller.
