The Jib was all dirty before they left. There was also a dodger he had built with fiberglass over wood(now gone).

Re: Allen Payne aka Jim

I'll bet that boat was pretty much all there was for their kids to inherit. I read that some one broke it into pieces on the beach.

Re: Sailing a 32’ Hunter Vision from Seattle to San Fran and more!

Make sure one or two others can skipper the boat. You may have to sail a long ways along Oregon. ( Ilwaco to Newport) Tillamook bay is tough; Depot bay is impossible, but Newport is easy. Good Luck!

places to anchor Oregon coast

Know of any good spots to anchor between marinas? I'm 4.5 feet down, can't get in Depoe bay. Between the Colombia river and Salmon Harbor at Reedsport.
Thanks Frank

Propane stove safe?

I have a 2 burner propane stove maybe I should convert it to a safer fuel? I worry about propane settling in the cabin. What is your experience?

Re: WANTED:WIND VANE 36 FT LOD SLOOP

Thank You Joe.
Questions:
How big a sailboat will it operate?
I'm wondering why you are removing it?
Does it bolt directly to the stern?

Which tiller pilot?

Which Tiller Auto pilot do you like?

I have 36 foot LOD sloop built by Gotfreid with a Herreshoff plan called Diddikai. She is made of wood and her displacement is 18,000 LBS.

Thanks
