Turkey won't be part of schengen any time soon so don't worry about not being able to use that as a bolt hole. Also Montenegro and Albania are not schengen and offer great places to sit in your boat...

September is still decent in the Cyclades but after sep 15 you get the occasional rainy day. It might be worthwhile looking at sailing South from Fethiye or Marmaris in Turkey towards Antalya....

Well if anyone ever gets to the Aegean Ios has the biggest bar scene . Mykonos is full of drugs as is Ibiza and Aya Napa. Bodrum has a good strip to the south of the castle around the Halicarnassus...

Turkey is great. Bodrum, Marmaris and Fethiye offer plenty of options and the indented coastline plenty of sheltered anchorages. If you sailed from Bodrum to Antalya you would see ancient sites,...

In Greece you can get a renewable 1 year visa as long as you have €60 000 in your bank account. Gives you the right to live and work in Greece. Turkey too has a similar visa.
