I saw that you offer teak deck replacement and also potentially a berth over the winter. We are considering the purchase of a Privilege 585 in the next 2 months and would like to install a new deck. Could you give me a non-binding ballpark on the deck replacement cost so I can put this in my cost calculation, and tell me if the winter berth option is still available? Many thanks

    Many thanks

Hi Yeloya..I found this from years ago, but maybe you are still in the loop...I hope so! You seem to the go-to person for Turkey related issues,,,,thanks in advance if you can help.

we are considering buy a boat IN Turkey Bodrum). I'm assuming that it is a Turkish flagged boat. What issues or taxes can we expect? Other "gotchas" you can share with us. We are a completely blank slate when it comes to the Med and especially Turkey so any and ALL help and/or suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thanks....allen

Yeloya, greetings from NC. Could you help me locating the manufacturer of screens for hatches in Turkey? I lost the contact information. I need to replace missing screens for my FP Belize. Thank you, Mustafa

I am new to posting so please excuse any impropriety. We are transitioning from a monohull to a cat. Thus far I like the orana or Helios. There is an orana for sale that has two 30 hp engines and I'd like your opinion on this installation. Application will be coastal sailing from Maine to Caribbean then onto the pacific and up to home in Seattle. We plan to be live aboard some during the next three years. Boating experience is limited to 45 years of racing and coastal sailing and powerboating. We have sailed to Alaska and cruised northern bc extensively and I think about some of our tides and 60 hp. On the other hand our first 44.7 weighs about the same and has a 50 hp engine.

Thanks Yeloya, Our friends decided to rent a 560 Lagoon in Croatia, but thanks for sharing the information. Perhaps we'll be able to recommend your Helia to someone else.

Hi, I am looking for an inexpensive place to leave the boat in Turkey. Was thinking Didim or Turgutreis. Any suggestion and what to expect for a 9,8x3,7m SV?

Hi Yeloya - I am in Canada and my wife and I are considered acquiring our first vessel. I noticed your comments in the Fontaine Pajot Orana 44 thread. Do you have a link to the vessels in your fleet and info on the boats you are looking to sell (preferrably multi-hull)?

    Hi Yeloya
Thanks very much. Great advice. The helia looks great. I've read that the FP range does suffer from osmosis. Do you think they've sorted it for the helia? Regards. Richard

    Hi Yeloya
Hope you don't mind me asking for some advice. I'm looking at buying a FP. It will be our first cat. Our last boat was a Tayana. We need to move to a cat for the improved stability because my wife has a back condition and struggles with the motion and heeling of a monohull. Have you any experience on the Salina 48 vs the Orana or Helia. A big priority will be the most comfortable/stable platform under sail and at anchor. Do you think the Salina has a big advantage over Orana? According to the specs, it is only 1 foot wider and although 3 feet longer, I don't have a sense of what this adds in either true size or stability. Any advice and guidance would be much appreciated. Regards Richard
