    Hi Tacoma Sailor,
In your posts regarding the Tartan 42, you mention that you posted about experience on one, but I quickly scanned your posts and did not find those. Can you tell me which posts of yours to read? I am looking at a T42 on Lake Superior. I like the look of it, but have never had the opportunity to sail one. I currently sail a J/27 on a lake near Minneapolis and know there is no comparison between the boats, but I do want a boat that will sail well. I intend to do trips from east coast to Carib and between islands in Carib, hopefully liveaboard for a year

If you ever make it to Vancouver and like to ride mountainbikes come on up to Squamish. We have world class crosscountry and downhill riding here. There is even a place to park your boat.Geoff

I did not buy Reunion. I built Carina, starting in 1978, doing >80% of the work myself (Cecil and crew enclosed the boat and installed bulkheads and some other plywood). I knew many of the original owners of the 31s, and they were all owner completed to some degree - usually a lot, and to varying levels of finish.

I also have a Ferris, Do you have any experience with the wind conversion for the Ferris, I've been looking for one for a long time.

So it is what I originally identified as the East Basin - the East Basin of North Harbor Island. That was the only fairway I could see on the satellite photo that resembled your diagram.

I've enjoyed your post about the conflict in San Diego. Which Marina are you talking about? I'm guessing from your diagram it was the East Basin.

Where do you stay when you are in San Diego? We are at a marina in America's Cup Harbor.

I'm thinking of sailing down from Seattle to LA - Marina del Rey - to try the area out for sailing - I've only sailed back and forth to Astoria and like the idea of day sailing my way down. I have a pretty flexible schedule but would like to know your opinion on best time to come down, wind-wise. Thanks.
