Hi Steve, I was googling away looking for a steel lift keel yacht, after looking at the De Valk website. Google must have married us up as your questions from 2010 sounded like mine today. Wondering how your experience was turning up in Europe with a wad of cash as you wrote? Is your Bowman steel or GRP? cheers Anita

Highly unlikely but did you go to school in Sheffield?

Hello
I am Director of Teak Deck UK that provide imitation Teak Decking for yachts. We received an order from a Steven Garlick which I suspect is fraudulent and basically you are Steven Garlick interested in yachts and they asked for it to be dispatched to Cyprus. I just wanted to alert you that there may be some fraudulent activity using your account or another by the name of Steven Garlick of Cyprus. The e-mail it has been coming from is Steven Garlick, it wont let me put his e-mail Or if you do actually want some Teak Decking you would be more than welcome to have a look, might aswell try and plug my business while I am doing a good deed. Kind Regards Andrew Nuut

Steve,
My apologies. I haven't checked my User CP for a while and I see that you PM'd me a while back.
Having owned this boat for 20 years I can assure you that Bowmans are built like sea going tanks. I've had to refit or replace every system on her over the years, but I've never had the slightest structural issue.
After 20 years I just want something else. Having just completed a three year teak deck removal project, I'm ready to go sailing again. But having spent the last three years of weekends hammering, sanding, painting and waiting for weather, (the worst part of the job), I just want this boat out of my life. Someone is going to get a good deal on a great boat.
Sail that Bowman and enjoy her. She's a great boat and she'll never hurt you. Call me some time at 804.756.7695 (days) or 804.639.1794 (nights) if you want to chat.
Fair winds,
Steve

Hi Steve
Hope all is well in Turkey and you are getting to grips with the new boat.
We are slowly making our way across the Atlantic. Blew the main out off the Florida coast in 70k so had an unscheduled stop in Bermuda. Now in the Azores and waiting for weather to continue on to the UK.
Kindest regards Gerry
