    Was hooked by "Maiden Voyage" in college and was determined to sail ever since. At 23, I crossed the border single-handed into Mexico aboard s/v Sheila, my 26ft Pearson Ariel from Morro Bay, CA. I spent a full year cruising; six months in Mexico and 6 months in California (mainly the Channel Islands). Met some wonderful people along the way. The new boat is much bigger, and I am just embarking on getting her ship shape, which will take the better part of a few years. But looking forward to being on a solid vessel to explore with my family.
