Allen, thanks for your comments on obtaining diesel at Georgetown and nearby Emerald Bay. (I'd be bringing ~3.5' of draft to the dock, so quite comparable to your Pajot). If you don't mind a follow-up, I'm wondering what your general attitude has been about filtering diesel when taking it onboard in the more remote Bahamas islands. Obviously, if taking it in larger quantities, gravity filtering becomes tedious at best...and may be frowned upon by the fueler. When we did a Caribbean circle some years ago, I filtered just about everywhere but never found a problem sufficient enough that it would have caused a problem for my Racor system. (Actually, the same was true on a Pacific milk run down to Australia. But all that was over a decade ago and with a sailboat, so I had an alternate propulsion source. This time it would be with a trawler dependent on engine alone. So I'm wondering what the prevailing view on this might be now. And thanks again for the previous comments.
