Hi JulieMac. SkipMac, JulieMac, we must be cousins.

Yes just finished 7 1/2 years overhauling a Pearson 422. Launched about three months ago so yes, I can tell you all about fixer uppers.

If you're on Charlotte Harbor it sure would be fun to have some kind of boat to take advantage of the location. Shouldn't be too hard to find something reasonable to putter around in that isn't a total project. I would offer to help you with a search but we're leaving in two days to spend a couple of months with daughter and new baby. I will still be on the forum so if you find anything that looks interesting would be happy to give free advise. I guarantee it will be worth every penny you pay for it.

    Good luck

Hi, Skipmac. I'm the gal that was discussing the immobile cat 30. We're not super serious about a boat at this point. We live on Charlotte Harbor and could of used that boat for local sailing. The guy wanted $2k, "negotiable". We could of had an O'day 39 just down the canal for $8k, but it was a total mess.

Ideally, we'd eventually like a boat for trips to the Keys and beyond. Guess we're really saving up for a good cruiser that's at least 34'.

Did you just finish refitting a boat?
