I have a Pekingese named Harley. He is a great watch dog, almost too good. He would like to attack anyone but me and he means business. I wish he was friendly to other people, I did not train him to be that way and believe it is inherent to the breed. He weighs 14 pounds. He is a great boat dog and loves to go with me.

Lucy the pug absolutely loves sailing! Actually, I think she just loves being with us. Because she is not "water wise" we have a cloth pen for her and she loves to snooz away in that when we sail. She is a little impatient in the marina - always wanting to follow us around but at sea, she snoozes away and enjoys the movement of the boat.

We have a Long-haired Standard Dachshund who sails with us, he is very good at sea and very patient. We are in Brixham Harbour, Devon, UK at the moment awaiting a permanent mooring.

We have a Scottie named Sassy who loves the boat, along with the new friends she makes both canine and human. We did make sure she could swim before bringing her on board. So far she has only fallen in once while we were at dock. For dingy rides she always wears her life jacket unlike her human companions.."Bad humans, no treats for you" she says

We have a Raternaro Anduluz which is a small terrier breed from Spain used to chase rats in the bodegas. We got her in Spain she has sailed from the Med to the US and several trips to Maine. She is like most dogs and prefers land.

Lucy is a Oz Shepard / Min Collie mix? Got her from "Doggy Jail". Loves coconuts and frisbies. Makes more hair than a barbershop but we deal with it. At 35 Pounds she is easy to handle and easily jumps from the dink to the boat.

Barney the little shorter fat one a 3.5 year Norfolk Terrier, very funny and cheeky.

AND

Basil whose breed is a CORTIAN and is now 7 years old, of course we all know that a CORTIAN is not abreed but his mother was a Welsh Corgi and his father was an Alsation - don't ask - hence Basil short stumpy legs, big ears and a bushy tail.
We got him from the RSPCA, he had not been treated well and was originally called Bob (and was a bit snappy - not any more, he is a beautiful and very intelligent dog), but in the UK we have a TV show with the host being a ventriloquists dummy that looks like a fox and is called Basil a perfect resemblance.
