Cruising Pets

My wife and I are in the process of purchasing a sailboat and plan to head out next month for a few years starting in the bahamas and going south. We are planning on taking our dog with us and have been researching all the various requirements that each different country requires. Some of them are extemely difficult to say the best. I would love to hear from anyone who has been there done that and can offer advice. Thanks
