It seems to me that 10# lasting 6 weeks is about the norm. We went on a 6 week cruise to the Bahamas last year and filled the 20# tank. Coffee + 1 to 2 meals per day including the grill. Got back with half a tank.

IN FLorida i get the blue rhino exchange tanks for 17$ have three of them lasts half a year.
find an old junker for trade in and you get a new or refurbed one.
