Sailing During Hurricane Season in Caribbean - Need Advice

If you are sailing around us on Anguilla or St. Martin, probably your only recourse in the event of a hurricane is to head into the lagoon. Heading south is not an option, most hurricanes will come from the south east so you will run right into it.
Most haul out facilities will by full or so busy you won't get out in time.

I find the TV News (ad sales) overhyped when breathlessly reporting hurricane info. How does that Don Henley song go? Sometimes the newscasters are so excited you can't tell what is actually going on.

The Red Cross hurricane app gives good info and leaves the drama to only that which Mother Nature sends.
