Yet Another Newbie

We're retired and have been living in an RV for about 5 years. We've ended up in the Florida Keys and have become interested in sailing and cruising. I'm interested in exchanging emails with anyone who made the transition from living in an RV to living in a catamaran. I don't yet know enough to ask intelligent questions.

Otherwise, we're your normal retired Q-tips, mid-60's, hiked for 2 months on the Appalachian Trail, traveled the lower 48, Alaska and part of Canada in an RV and have "settled" on Cudjoe Key. Active in the CG Auxiliary and our local UMC. One day at a time, we're looking forward to goin' sailing.

Bluewater hi and welcome to CF

Given the back ground information you have posted, I suggest your hire a catamaran for a holiday. It would be an excellent way to dip your feet into life on board a yacht.

Hi There,

Good luck with your 'house' hunt, I hope something comes up for you.

Since you're looking primarily for a home, then I suggest comfort is no.1 priority; and your RV experience will be a good guide as to what makes you comfortable in a confined space. Then just remember to ask if it has sails and all that stuff too!! If the person you buy it off took it ailing, then it probably will!

Oh, welcome aboard!
