Yet Another Newbie

I've been reading with great interest this forum for a few weeks now, signed up, and decided to take the plunge and write my first post.

A little bit about me? Well, I've had a love affair with the ocean for as long as I can remember, and if given the chance I would spend every day I could on it. I LOVE deep sea fishing almost as much!

I've never sailed, but have spent a lot of time on power boats, mainly in saltwater, some in fresh. I have good skills, am a quick learner, and am not afraid of a little salt water in my face.

My plans for now are to take a basic sailing 101 course that is offered here in my state, continue to read and educate myself, and one day sail off into the wild blue sea! My biggest areas of interest is navigation. I have a wonderful fiance who will be doing the big heavy lifting for me while I navigate the seas. We should make a good team.

Looking forward to my time here.

Welcome to the forums and what area do you reside in? Navigation is one of my favourite activities in marine coastal boating as well.
