Total Newbie Here

Hi everyone!

Honestly, I don't have any idea about boats and sailing. But since my husband is looking into buying a small yacht for us, I might as well learn a thing or two about it. Hope to learn from you guys!

Thanks!

Welcome aboard CF, Karel.

Feel free to ask questions as they arise. And, enjoy the process, the learning, and the experiences.

Link up with a cooperative sailing yacht club and take a few lessons on a small sailboat. Work up from them.

Might be too far for you, but the irrepressible Pam Wall is running a women's sailing week at the Bitter End Yacht Club, BVI next year. Designed to give women a testosterone-free introduction to sailing to build confidence and inspire. Chardonnay and friendship will be in abundance.

Um, what everyone else said. And also, don't be shy about starting threads inquiring about things. The various search features are good too; the one organic to CF, & the ensconced Google custom one.
