Re: So - Pocket Yachtsmen - UNITE ! (How many of us are there?)

Wow Coops, that is a beautiful boat!

I love the woodwork!

Hey, maybe if there are enough of us here, we can get a Pocket Cruisers section!

A 14-foot mini-cruiser is minimalist. A 19ft is comfortable, and anything much larger than a 25 borders on ostentatious.

Coops - A real beauty.

I would love to see more samples of "small interiors" - Next year I am planning to redo Relax Lah and there are a lot of design choices to make. That and I want to keep the joinery simple as I plan to self teach and do myself.

The Maxi 77 was advertised as a small family boat and brochures show 5 happy swedes living aboard - times have changed, haven't they? A family of 5 these days can't live in 50 feet it seems - LOL...

Nope. They used the Ranger 23 in the film, but Robin sailed a Lapworth 24!

Yeah, it's pretty cool! You ought to shrink it and add it to the extra smilies. I've been working on putting together an animated one for submission to the site, as well, by the way.

It's from a free smiley site, listed as a public domain image.

Hi all. 1974 O'day 22. Although I have agreed to sell her to a friend. For the moment she is like a child in a custody battle every weekend.
ExCalif here is a long video, but if you are patient you can see the interior. I went with granite galley.

Re: So - Pocket Yachtsmen - UNITE ! (How many of us are there?)

We're just starting out on our sailing adventures (hopefully to upgrade to the 40' variety and become liveaboards when the hubby retires from the Coast Guard), and I've been looking at buying a Bristol 22'. I'm so excited I can't even see straight, though I keep getting conflicting information about fixed keels being difficult to launch/trailer. *sigh*

She's been completely rebuilt and refurbished/refit from top to bottom and the price seems right, so I'm hoping to figure out all the logistics of getting her here and where to put her since neither of us can sail yet.

If anyone else has a Bristol that can offer info, I'd be happy to talk to you privately!

Yes, my enthusiasm may be a little over the top I know, but I've been waiting to do this a long darn time!

Cheers everyone,

~Danielle
