Skipper Looking for Sailboat / Home

Hello! I have registered myself here because I need some feedback.
Currently looking for a 32-38 ft bluewater sailboat to make my home, I am doing some research. I am not from the USA, and thus do not know the local shipyards. So far, my research drove me to look at serious cruisers (Lord Nelson, Tayana, Island Trader, Cheoy Lee, Hans Christian and others) but I have been warned on more than one occasion about the deck issues related to these cruisers. Having a lot of sea miles, but having only been given new boats, both sail and power, I do not feel fit, nor do I have the will and time, to undertake a refit project.
I thus redirected my search towards local blue water cruisers, such as Southern Cross, Westsail, Union Polaris, Alajuela, Valiant.
I need a fat and safe boat to live in comfort, I am a cruiser at heart who does not like to break boats, and if I need to go fast, I take an airplane.
I will be grateful to anyone who can help me through my search, as I tend to think that boat owners may be of better advice than yacht brokers.
Thank you!

Aloha and Welcome aboard!
Deck issues would be from cored decks and teak decks. Many of these have been corrected by subsequent owners since new so you'll have to take a look at each boat. All of them that you mentioned seem to be good candidates but they need to be evaluated individually. Their current condition is more important than their original build.
Hope this helps.
regards
