Newly Retired and Lurking for a Boat

Hi all, recently retired as a fireman. I have been looking around at boats and the Bayliner 3888 has caught my eye as being a good looking, functional boat. I know it's not a Hatt but it doesn't come with the Hatt price tag either. Any advice or suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

Bayliners are attractive price wise but there may be better values out there. I suggest you keep looking and compare.

We have some happy Tolleycraft owners here in or marina. Thinking gas as opposed to diesel I'm guessing.

Lurking for a boat is one way to get them, but it requires you to wait for them to get close enough to jump on them.

I prefer to go running straight at them screaming loudly. They usually get frightened in place and squat still long enough for you to overcome them.

This method works best when they are grouped together at a watering hole - sometimes called a "marina" or "broker's yard".

Also, being stark naked helps because a screaming naked person running toward a boat is most of the way to being a full-time cruiser at 3am in a thunderstorm.

Or a Frenchman coming home from the bar - I always get the two mixed up...

Check out Sea Hunt boats....excellent value for good quality. Key West is another value brand. Can't offer any other suggestions without knowing more about where and how you will use. I just retired this year and got a 22 foot Sea Hunt Victory 225 walkaround for use out of Orleans/Chatham, MA.
