Every 3 years or so they changed minor things,

Our boat has oiled teak or oiled teak ply with trim what is in your boat ? The new boats have high gloss cherry, real ritzy looking. We love the traditioal look of oiled teak and my lovely wife likes to clean and oil the wood.

Insurance Company rang today,

They have all the quotes and are asking for a breakdown in costs from the suppliers.

They are contacting the underwriters in England, To get their word on it,

Looks like they will rebuild her.

Its still a wait and see tho,

That Teak oil brings the wood up magically, What ever wood it is, Hahahaha

Whatever you do remember to save your 16 oz water bottles to put in the aft hole behind and under the beds. It is advised to use empty bottles so if you needed to do some repairs you can get them out. I bet it takes a couple hundred to fill up each side, that's a lot of flotation in the aft where the motor and fuel tanks are. The bow crash zone is full of foam but because of rudder maintance they recomend removable flotation in the stearn.

Re: new to Gemini , just delivered to New Bern,NC

You are going to love and enjoy this boat just like your Hunter. My wife and I have owned many different boats among them a 1994 Hunter 40.5 which we sailed on the Great Lakes then south to the Bahamas for a season in the 90's and in 2007 a new Gemini 105 that we sailed from Annapolis to the Bahamas for a season. We enjoyed taking the Gemini in skinny water and all the day light. Gemini Cats are now made by Hunter in Florida as the Smiths (Sue and Tony great folks) sold the company to The Catamaran Company.
