Yes I've heard many times myself already (one year live aboard) to never sail with a schedule!

Army, huh? Shouldn't you get an RV and travel around, leaving us Navy guys to the water?

I haven't left the Chessy ..... yet! But right now there is still too much of it I wanna see!

I also agree about the schedule. Sailing is a lot like the Army......hurry up and wait!
