Intro from C-L-O-D

When we were cruising and living aboard full time, the term used for our friends who had moved ashore was CLOD -- Cruiser Living On Dirt.

Hello from a former liveaboard cruiser, now a dirt dweller in Texas near the grandkids. We were mostly in the Chesapeake in the summers and in Florida in the winter. We usually docked for a month or so in the summers for annual maintenance, but anchored the other 11 months.

We sold the boat when we moved to dirt, as it was an older woodie, and we didn't think she would survive being neglected 10-11 months a year. We've been slowly watching for the right smaller fiberglass boat suitable for seasonal liveaboard/cruising rather than full time.
